I’m Sayem, and I’ve been doing SEO for over 12 years now. Started back in university when I needed some extra cash and stumbled into this whole digital marketing world through freelance work.
How I Got Here
Back in 2011, I was just another broke college student trying to figure out how to make money online. Found myself on freelancing platforms doing keyword research and basic SEO stuff for clients. Honestly had no idea what I was getting into, but I was curious and needed the money.
The real game-changer came in 2012 when I got into website flipping. Bought my first site for a few hundred bucks, spent months learning how to actually improve it, then sold it for a decent profit. That opened my eyes to how powerful SEO really is when you understand the business side of things.
Over the years, I kept buying, fixing, and selling websites. Made some good money – hit six figures in profits – but more importantly, I learned how websites actually work from a business perspective, not just the technical stuff.
What I Actually Do
These days, I help businesses get found on Google. Sounds simple, but there’s a lot that goes into it.
I do the technical stuff – keyword research, fixing website issues, building quality backlinks. But I also understand the bigger picture. Your website needs to actually convert visitors into customers, not just get traffic.
My background in website flipping taught me to look at SEO differently. It’s not just about rankings – it’s about building an asset that generates real business value.
The Technical Side
I’m comfortable with code – HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python. This helps me spot issues that pure marketing folks might miss. Plus, I’ve gotten into cybersecurity over the years (got my Google certification), which means I can help protect your site while we’re growing it.
I use all the standard tools – Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Search Console. But honestly, the tools are just tools. The real skill is knowing what to look for and how to interpret the data.
Outside of Work
When I’m not buried in spreadsheets or analyzing search results, I compete in cybersecurity CTF competitions. It keeps my problem-solving skills sharp and honestly, it’s pretty fun trying to crack puzzles with other security nerds.
I also write about SEO and digital marketing, mentor some entrepreneurs, and play chess when I need to clear my head.
Why I Write This Blog
Look, SEO changes constantly. Google updates their algorithm, new tools come out, strategies that worked last year stop working. I started this blog to share what’s actually working right now – not just theory, but stuff I’m testing on real websites.
You’ll find practical guides here, case studies from my own projects, and honest reviews of tools and strategies. No fluff, just actionable stuff you can implement.
My Approach
I don’t believe in quick fixes or black hat tactics. Building sustainable organic traffic takes time and consistency. But when it works, it really works.
Every business is different. What worked for my last client might not work for you. That’s why I start every project by understanding your specific situation – your market, your competition, your goals.
I’m also pretty direct. If I think your expectations are unrealistic or if there’s a problem with your approach, I’ll tell you. It’s better to have those conversations upfront than waste time on strategies that won’t work.
Let’s Talk
If you’re dealing with SEO challenges or want to grow your organic traffic, I’d be happy to chat. You can find me on LinkedIn or just shoot me a message through my contact page.
No hard sales pitch – I prefer to understand what you’re dealing with first, then figure out if I can actually help.
